Simple gestures to brighten up your spouse’s day!

It’s often easy to forget about each other in the hustle bustle of our lives. We usually are so wrapped up in our own work and responsibilities that we neglect our relationship at times. Letting your spouse know they’re on your mind is essential. It’s the little things that count. Small gestures keep the love alive!

1. Give your spouse a compliment
Everyone likes a word of appreciation every now and then. It’s always easy to point out someone’s flaws and shortcomings. Instead, be positive and take a moment to acknowledge what you admire about them, such as their appearance, charm or something that they did for you. It will be good for their self esteem and will make them feel desired and confident.
 compliment
2. Write little love notes
Going oldschool and writing love notes and letters can be oh-so-romantic! Leave a note by their bedside or pillow or on the mirror or in their briefcase. Make it heartfelt and expressive. Make sure they feel loved. It could be a great start to a long day!

3. Plan a surprise date night
Plan a surprise date  for your significant other doing some of their favourite things. It could be a movie night where you can snuggle on the couch or dinner at their favourite restaurant or even an intimate candle light dinner with a home cooked meal.
 compliment
4. You don’t always have to be right (even if you are)!
Do not underestimate the power of apologies. You have to choose your battles and you don’t always have to win. Let them feel like they’re  calling the shots sometimes. If you always try to be in control and push to get your way then it most definitely will lead to a lot of clashes. Say a sorry in a sweet way, may be a little note, or a surprise gift!

You don’t need a special occasion to give these cute reminders of how much your spouse is loved. Just go ahead and make their day!

Since it’s the last fling before the ring, you can have a destination bachelorette bash! Grab your girls and escape for a fun weekend getaway or a mini-vacay. Rent a luxury yacht or a speed-boat and take your friend’s out.  Soaking up the sun and tanning together sounds like a pretty sweet deal. You’ll also have plenty time to bond out on the water.

Or it could be a camping trip. Take your pj’s, makeshift tents, booze and head to a camping destination. You could do bonfires, roast marshmallows and dance your way till dawn! Get some customised tees, caps and sashes made. Quirky tattoos which would wear off the next morning are also a great idea.

It could also be a classic slumber party. An old fashioned night with your girls filled with some chick flicks, junk food and adult only drinking games like never have I ever, truth or dare etc sounds like a good time. You could also do a karaoke night. After a few stiff drinks you can sing your heart out! No Paula and Simon would be judging you!

You could have a nail art station, foot massages and a photo booth.
Signing up your girlfriends for a spa day is another fantastic idea for a spinster party. It doesn’t always have to be a rowdy booze-fest. Massages, mud wraps and manicures sound just about right for some pre wedding pampering!

Brides with an hourglass figure should wear something flowy with a short choli that would accentuate their perfect body. Choose a lehengas with more volume of pleats with vertical prints, or delicate prints, to even out the shape of  of the hips and thighs.

The Slim/Skinny frame:

If you’re one of those brides who could eat anything and everything and still not put on weight then you’re probably the luckiest person on the face of earth! Go for a bridal lehenga that has a lot of volume as it’ll hide your skinny frame and make you look beautiful. You can go for heavy chunky jewellery.

The Plus Size Beauty:

Brides who are on the heavier side or have a plus size figure can opt for lehengas that come with jackets to hide the curves. It’ll look stylish and will cover those love handles. Also, try going for wide necklines that will shift the focus to your face and neck. Avoid chunky big jewellery.

Tall women always have an edge over the others. They manage to look god almost in everything they wear. We suggest you go easy on the heels, and wear stylish jootis/sandals for a little elevation. It will help you look elegant and won’t accentuate your height even further. Avoid vertical prints.

The Petite Bride:

short-bride

If you’re the petite dainty bride, try a high waisted lehengas with vertical prints which will give the illusion of longer legs. Go for a long floor grazing lehengas with a short choli. Heels can be your best friend too! Also, avoid layered jackets and high necks.

So get shopping brides & knock your husband-to-be’s socks off!
